Tis morning we went to a 50's style breakfast place at the recommendation of the owners of the campground. It was a really cool place and we enjoyed the breakfast.
From there we went in to Bangor to a photo shop to try to save my pictures. I didn't want to lose more
of them after having lost the first part of the trip. The little girl put them on a cd and began showing me how to use my camera so that I would not have a problem in the future. I took her picture for memory sake as she was so helpful!
We finally ended up in Calais the last town before going into Canada. We ate lunch with Grappy at Grappy's stand. He has been married for 35 years and has lived in this town all his life. He said the Canadian traffic is steady!
We entered Canada and because of a mix up on the amount of alcohol and the fact that I had a mace container they detained us. They went through every thing in our camper and treated us like harden criminals. I was truly ready to turn around and go back into the USA. After two hours and $48.00 they let us go on into Canada.
Because of the delay at the border we rushed the trip to Saint John's, New Brunswick knowing that we would see the scenery on our way home. We got to a city Campground Rockland Park and set up camp.
They also had a restaurant so we walked over to the restaurant and ate on the dock next to a lake. They also had Irish singers playing music for us.
The lady at the campground told me she liked my pocketbook so I gave her my new one that I had purchased at Mt. Washington. She gave me a Christmas ornament made out of the mud in Fundy Bay.
She works two jobs and I felt she was deserving of getting the new bag!
Al was disappointed that we didn't have any Fox News but we were happy to have two channels on the tv.
