More Vermont Pictures

Vergennes area.  Vergennes is the oldest city in Vermont.

Wild Flower Farm

We found this winery in Charlotte, Vt. and decided to visit in honor of its name.  We bought a couple of bottles of wine and they gave each of us a glass of wine.  We took our wine out to the patio where two guys were sitting and sat down with them.  It was so much fun!  The guys gave us advice on where to go and not to go in Canada, to be sure our gas tank was full all the time and laughed when I told them we had heard that the
French were not friendly.  It turns out one of them was French Canadian and he took it personal that we should think such a thing.  Of course, he is an exception.

In this area all the towns have country stores and taverns.  Saw a sign crab 4.99 -  Gas in this area is $3.67 I took lots of pictures of the lake with the Addirondecks in the background.  We had been told to be sure and see church street but not to stay there after dark.  So we went into Church Street as well and found that it is an outdoor mall of sorts.
