August 27, 2011 Saint Johns, New Brunswick

The fog is so dense you can't see the city of the bay from up on the hill at the campground.  The temperature is 60.  We found a grocery store and boy is it expensive.  We spent $80.00 and really can't tell you on what!

We used the GPS to find downtown and wondered around.  here is a huge park with flowers all around and the old church's.

One of our favorite spots was the market where they had everything and all kinds of food.  You could buy a whole lobster or a gourmet meal.  The farmer markets up here are nothing like the ones we have down south!  The roof of the market used to be part of a ship.

As always I had wonderful comments on my cross that Roy made me.

The Old Church was something else.

The figures were so wonderful!  People were sitting around them waiting on a bus.  So Al and I could not resist having our picture made there.

A lady in a gift store told us about the market and about the reversing falls.  We went to the falls after leaving the city market.  The falls reverse at high tide .  The water comes in under the river and the flow of the river appears to stop.  When the tide goes out the flow of the river becomes obvious again.  The whirlpools go in counter clock wise and reverse.  Unusual to see both in one spot.

We cooked burgers at camp and walked around the lake.  Lights out around 10:00
